Lynk Announces Lynk Elite Expert Women to Celebrate the Knowledge of Female Leaders for International Women’s Day

With a team of 200+ that is more than 50% female and a gender-neutral board, Lynk is committed to supporting women in the workforce

New York and Hong Kong - March 8th, 2021 - Lynk, the AI-driven Knowledge-as-a-Service platform, today announced its Lynk Elite Expert Women campaign, an initiative in celebration of International Women’s Day that encourages women who are experts in their fields to sign up as experts on the Lynk platform. For the second-straight year, this initiative aims to honor female leaders’ knowledge and power in order to create a more gender-equal world as we join in the global effort and #ChoosetoChallenge.

“While International Women’s Day is important to celebrate, women should be acknowledged for the work they do and the value they bring every day of the year,” states Peggy Choi, CEO and founder of Lynk. “That’s really what this initiative is about, giving women a platform to share their knowledge with the world year-round. For Lynk, diversity isn’t just about who you are or where you’re from, but it’s about diversity of thought. And women play a crucial role in ensuring this.”

Only 7.4% of Fortune 500 CEOs are women, while a mere 20% of tech positions are held by women. To mitigate these stats, Lynk uses its knowledge-sharing platform to support women in their respective careers. Lynk’s engine sources female experts, giving them a platform to share and monetize their expertise while helping businesses make better decisions. With 840K+ vetted global experts with experience from more than 1.2M companies like Airbnb, Pfizer, Wells Fargo, and even Oscar-winning directors, Lynk’s network of experts includes c-level executives, scientists, engineers, lawyers, accountants, financial analysts, and others across a breadth of sectors such as internet technology, consumer goods, finance, pharmaceuticals and healthcare.

Through its initiative, Lynk is also supporting the Malala Fund by running an incentive program, donating to the charity every time a female expert joins its network. Lynk selected the Malala Fund for the second year in a row given the organization aligns with its mission of empowering female talent globally with education and knowledge at its core. Last year, more than 100 female experts joined the Lynk platform during Women’s History Month.

“There is research that said if you need to make a decision, you are always better off not making a “yes” or “no” decision but putting multiple options on the table so you are evaluating against each other,” explained Martha Notaras, Managing Partner of Brewer Lane Ventures. “I think it’s the same thing when you have a diversity of experiences around the table, you have more options and hence make better decisions.”

Lynk will also be featuring female leaders from various industries throughout the month as part of its Lynk Elite Expert Women’s campaign. The company is hosting a Making of the She Economy webinar on March 10th and a male allies fireside chat on March 17th to discuss the various ways to support women in the workplace.
