The Dilemmas of Life

A woman’s strengths and resilience are so often revealed during compelling situations in life.

Peggy Warren’s book, “It’s a Heart Thing,” highlights the adventures of four women dealing with lifestyle changes. The narrative revolves around Maggie, who impulsively walks out on her 25yr marriage after a stunning moment with her husband that astounds even her. Maggie’s caring brother asks her to come and stay at his place and take care of the house and dog while he goes on a movie shoot in England. Loneliness becomes an issue for Maggie until her forever best friend lands in trouble. She has to sell her house and begs for a stayover with Maggie. After a short while, as it turns out, two more women join the fray, each difficult handling issues of their own. With the holidays coming up and families upset by the wayward mothers, a good friend of Maggie’s offers them a primitive cabin in the Colorado Mountains as a getaway from the mayhem they have created. Dealing with life and each other in the tiny mountain town takes them on unexpected twists and eventful turns. The four women also share laughter and tears while watching over Maggie’s brother’s hilarious Great Dane dog, who adds joy and color to their adventure.

The author narrates in this book the realistic story of every woman who is traveling through changes. The book deals with contemporary issues in a way that is both emotional and entertaining. This writing illustrates the power of women to blend with compassion and understanding when faced with adversity. The writer’s dedication to build up and nurture friends in need shows an enormous heart in this work. A publication that could be a source of empowerment for every woman going through tough times while making big decisions in life.
