Suicide, An Amazon Best-Selling Book is Free For One More Day (until 10/16/2020)

Pasadena, CA – WEBWIRE

Best Seller Publishing announces the release of Melanie Balestra’s new book, Suicide: A Mother’s Journey Through Her Child’s Pain. It will be available for free download in the Amazon Kindle Store on October 16th.

This book is about the insights of a mother after her daughter dies by suicide. The mother thought her daughter Leah was painfully shy at a young age but consistently was told by counselors that her daughter would grow out of it. However, this shyness was a sign of depression at a young age. Leah was a child in a dysfunctional marriage with no love or recognition from her Dad. Her mother believed the only way to help her was to move and leave the marriage multiple times without success. After Leah’s death, her mother finds diaries that Leah wrote at various times in her life. It is only at this time that Leah’s mother realizes how much alone Leah felt and how she suffered emotionally during most of her life. Leah portrayed one life to others but had no self-esteem or respect for herself. Her lack of belief in herself led to her untimely death by suicide.

The book discusses the coping mechanisms that Leah’s mother used after her death and, how faith helped her realize that God always has a purpose and Leah would want her to go on. The goal of this book is, through the insight into Leah’s feelings and actions, help parents and others realize signs and symptoms in their child or others of mental illness. Parents do not have to feel alone when working with a child or other person that is mentally ill. There are more and more resources to reach out to in mental health if you believe your child is mentally ill. Start looking when you first have a suspicion. Don’t ever give up. Survival through faith in God is possible.

Suicide by Melanie Balestra will be free and available for download on Amazon for 5 days (10/12/2020 – 10/16/2020) at: Suicide has a 5.0-star rating on Here’s what some people had to say:

“This mother’s heart-wrenching account of a beloved daughter’s pain and struggle with mental conditions and her own efforts to help at every step of the way will inform and inspire parents or anyone responsible for children. Painful examination of personal background, events, thoughts, actions and reactions reveals that mental conditions leading to a life of pain and even loss of that life can happen to anyone. There is much to learn from this very personal story offered out of hope to help others. Anyone caring for children should take note, but we can all do more by trying to understand the pain of others at any age.” - Classmate

“Having real life experiences with mental health issues, the author clearly provides helpful advice for those responsible parents who want to get out in front and mitigate potential mental health issues with their children. The author also goes into great detail of many moments in her life and raising her daughter that she would have done differently with a clear vision of “if I only would’ve known.” I wept for her pain and applaud her passionate care for her daughters. The author is clearly both very bright, driven, and passionate to understand what went wrong in her child’s upbringing, many times trying to plug the holes in her daughter’s life and her own to fix problems, alas to no avail. She clearly has found the brokenness of treatment options, which are mostly cost prohibitive and not available. She clearly illustrates marital stress while passionately seeking treatment for her daughter, at the same time caring for her healthy daughter. Parents and expectant parents, read this book and get informed, less you make a big mistake thinking it won’t happen to you and your children.” - Builder
