Insights to current geopolitical events are based on the book of Daniel that Christ said to understand when he was asked about the end of the world in Matthew 24.
Daniel saw a goat fly from the west to stomp a ram and break its horns in Daniel 8. Historians say the prophecy was fulfilled when Alexander the Great conquered the Medes and Persians, named in Daniel 8:20. But Gabriel told Daniel that his vision was “at the time of the end,” Daniel 8:17. The Medes and Persians are now Iraq and Iran.
