Sprint gives users the power to say ’Feliz Navidad’ to friends old and new around the world with two Spanish-language chat services

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — 12/07/2006 - In an ongoing effort to provide exciting and relevant offerings to the Hispanic market, Sprint (NYSE: S) announced today as part of its “Twelve Days of Power Shopping” campaign, two Spanish-language mobile chat communities that will allow users to connect with Spanish speakers around the world. Available today, Sprint is offering Chat del Mundo from Jumbuck Entertainment Ltd. Sprint also plans to offer Muchachat from Cellfish Media. These new mobile chat communities complement a bilingual chat product called Latino Lounge that Sprint announced earlier this year and provide Sprint subscribers more ways to spread holiday cheer to others in Spanish - right from select Sprint phones.

“Sprint is at the forefront of providing the Hispanic community with innovative products and services, giving customers the power to connect in new and exciting ways,” said Isaac Mizrahi, director of multicultural marketing for Sprint. “Sprint’s launch of Chat del Mundo and Muchachat enable our Spanish-speaking customers to stay in touch with family and friends, as well as meet new people, whether they live across town or across the globe, just in time for the holidays.”

Chat del Mundo is a dedicated chat community for Spanish speakers with over 1 million worldwide users with images and video profiles. This Spanish mobile community is available in Argentina, Chile, Ecuador, Spain, Colombia, Panama, Venezuela and now the United States. Through Chat del Mundo, users are able to establish a profile, share images and video, and interact with and form a list of friends from around the world. Chat del Mundo is available now for $1.99 per month.*

Sprint also plans to offer Muchachat, which will allow Sprint customers to create profiles and choose avatars to represent them; search other users by age, location, description and nickname; and exchange messages with other members. Mucha Chat will be available at a charge of $0.50 for each message received through the service.*

In addition to providing Spanish chat services, Sprint was the first carrier to introduce a live Spanish TV service for wireless phones earlier this year with the launch of Sprint TV En Vivo and is actively demonstrating its commitment to the Hispanic community through two high-profile Latin music sponsorships that deliver Latin music fans with unique, Spanish-language wireless content, delivered via the high-speed Sprint Power Vision((SM)) Network.

* Sprint is a title sponsor of the 2007 U.S. Tour of MANA, one of the hottest Mexican rock bands of all times. And for a limited time, Sprint Vision subscribers can view MANÁ ‘’live in concert’’ and ‘’free of additional charge’’ on Sprint Vision(SM) and Sprint Power Vision(SM) Phones anywhere on the Sprint Power Vision and Nationwide Sprint PCS Networks. The original concert was wirelessly broadcast live on Tuesday, Nov. 28, when MANÁ took the stage at the Avalon Theater in Los Angeles. The band’s entire performance is available for on-demand playback for a period of 90 days. The wireless broadcast can be viewed via Sprint Power View (ch. 35) on Sprint TV and on the Sprint Music Channel (ch. 33) within the Music & Radio category; both channels are accessed from the media player on select Sprint phones.
* Sprint is also a sponsor of a new venture with Bad Boy Latino, a music label created by Emilio Estefan and Sean “Diddy” Combs that showcases emerging Latino artists and is distributed by Warner Music Group. Sprint introduced ChristianDaniel, the first Bad Boy Latino artist, by making his single release, titled “Donde Quedaran,” video and self-titled album available on the Sprint Power Vision(SM) Network two weeks before wider commercial distribution.
