Alcoholism is Not the End
The Gift of Sobriety: A Spiritual Transformation by Rose B.
Admirably compact storytelling, - Kirkus Review
Alcoholism is a crippling disease that affects countless people around the world. It can destroy lives, careers and families. Many afflicted with the illness feel lost and without direction. Where do you start when your life is in ruins and your relationships with friends and family are severely strained?
Rose B. in her book, “The Gift of Sobriety: A Spiritual Transformation” offers a message of hope to those suffering with the disease. The book is based on the journals she kept as she navigated the world of alcohol addiction and her path to redemption through Alcoholics Anonymous.
Rose takes the reader on a journey of pain, suffering, spiritual longing and renewal as she transforms herself from feeling completely broken to reclaiming her life and integrity. This book will appeal to those dealing with alcoholism and those who have found sobriety.
Rose’s brilliant example will inspire the reader. It is a bright beacon that will shine light into the darkness of alcoholism. In the forward to the book, Rose’s therapist notes that “I have been witness to Rose’s changes in the last year and it is rare that I see someone dedicate themselves so earnestly and completely to their recovery as she.”
Rose decided to release the journal of her experiences and recovery to the public in order to be “of service.” Her compelling journey shows that hope is alive even in life’s darkest moments.
“The Gift of Sobriety: A Spiritual Transformation” was/will be displayed in the upcoming Word on the Street, the biggest literary events in Canada this year on June 9 in Saskatoon, September 14 in Halifax, on September 21 in Lethbridge, and lastly on September 22 in Toronto.
