Attendance Doubles As Momentum In Intelligent Device Management Market Builds

Redwood City, California, November 30, 2006 — Questra Corporation, the leader in Intelligent Device Management (IDM), recently held its second annual customer conference in Monterey, California. With the active participation of Fortune 1000 customers and partners, Questra delivered a compelling program that provided valuable insight into business and technical best practices and emerging trends. The 2006 Questra Customer Conference doubled in size over the previous year’s event, reflecting not only larger customer base, but also the increased strategic significance of IDM deployments to customers.

“Our mission is to provide our customers with the best technologies and services, so they can deliver superior care to their patients,” said Aiman Abdel-Malek, general manager of global services technology at GE Healthcare, a business unit of General Electric Company. “The Questra conference gave us an opportunity to share best practices with executives from innovative companies in our industry and others.”

The conference featured customer case studies and interactive workshops, in addition to presentations by Questra executives on the state of the company, product development, and customer service and support initiatives.

Representing Agfa Graphics, Raf Dille, program manager for global services, and Stan Zientarski, vice president of global services for North America, discussed the opportunities and challenges associated with the rapid, large-scale deployment of Agfa’s :IntellSyst remote diagnostic service, which has expanded to more than 2,500 customers and 7,500 imaging devices worldwide.

Tom Oelsner, director of remote services at Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG, the world’s leading solution provider for the print media industry, presented the successful strategies and tactics his company is using to integrate its Questra-based systemservice solution with SAP enterprise business solutions and Heidelberg’s back-end business processes for increased productivity.

Laura Stadter, life cycle manager at Ingersoll Rand, a leading diversified industrial company, shared her team’s experience defining a remote service strategy, selling the idea to customers and management, and realigning the organization to transform the business. “The Questra conference has proven to be a good place to network with other managers and to compare notes on obstacles, approaches, and successes in deploying IDM solutions,” she said. “The information on working with Questra partners has been particularly valuable as well.”

Partners in attendance included Atos Origin, a leading international IT services company headquartered in Europe, and SAP, the world’s leading provider of business software solutions. Thomas Odenwald, Director of SAP Research, and Harald Weppner, Research Scientist at SAP Research, discussed IDM for new business strategies, including new service business models and business process re-engineering.

“We are extremely pleased with the high level of participation by our customers and partners in our annual conference,” said Walt Rossi, vice president of marketing at Questra. “Doubling in size year-over-year is a strong indication of the growth and momentum the IDM market and Questra are experiencing.”
