There is very little literature written by authors with disabilities, making it hard to convey to the public the realities and hardships autistic individuals experience in their daily lives. Speaking for the community of persons with disabilities, Lucien Bracquemont publishes Endurance: An Autistic Autobiography,” a one-of-a-kind book that narrates his story of struggle, pain, and triumph as an individual who has Asperger’s syndrome.

In “Endurance,” Lucien shares his story from his childhood to his present. With eloquent words and a strong grasp of the English language, he shows readers the world through the eyes of someone with Asperger’s syndrome. He hopes that through his literary work readers may be aware and understand autistic individuals. Though autistic, he never let what most people call “disability” stop him from achieving his dreams. Lucien Bracquemont sees himself as a survivor, not a victim, of all the ordeals he has overcome.

“I do not want to be treated differently for being autistic, either to be treated as less than others or to be celebrated as a hero. This work, however, will be an articulate voice for the disabled and the working class,” says Lucien Bracquemont.

Be aware, spread awareness, and understand the lives of individuals with autism through “Endurance: An Autistic Autobiography.” More information about the author and his work can be found at www.lucienbraquemont.com . Book copies are available at selected online bookstores.
