Manchester, UK - November 17, 2006

Clinical negligence solicitors at Pannone LLP have won one of the largest ever payouts for a cosmetic surgery compensation claim in the UK.

Denise Hendry, the wife of former Scotland captain and Blackpool manager Colin Hendry, was awarded an undisclosed six figure payout after suffering botched cosmetic surgery that put her in a coma.

During a liposuction procedure by a Dr. Gustaf Aniansson her small bowel and small colon were punctured nine times resulting in severe septicaemia (blood poisoning), she spent five weeks in a coma and nearly two months in intensive care.

Her solicitor, Stephen Jones, a specialist in clinical negligence compensation claims said “We’re delighted with the results, not just because we achieved one of the highest ever UK payouts for a cosmetic surgery compensation claim, but because Dr. Aniansson is no longer allowed to practise medicine in the UK.”

Stephen Jones has specialised in medical litigation cases since 1986, he is a member of the Law Society Specialist Clinical Negligence Panel and the solicitors’ referral panel of AVMA, Action for the Victims of Medical Accidents.

Stephen can be reached at Pannone LLP by calling 0870 164 2372
