Skanska Renovates and Extends Public School in Lahti, Finland, for EUR 31 M, About SEK 320 M

Skanska has signed an agreement with the City of Lahti to renovate and extend the Kivimaa public school in Lahti, Finland. The contract is worth EUR 31 M, about SEK 320 M, which will be included in the Nordic order bookings for the first quarter 2019.

The Kivimaa public school consists of an old 4 floor high building from 1948 that will be fully renovated, and a new construction of a 3 floor building.  The project also includes renewal of a sports area consisting of football field, multipurpose arena and a new sports ground. The school will have an area of about 12,700 square meters in total and will serve about 900 pupils.

Construction work begins in April 2019 and all the facilities will be completed by the end of 2020.
