EMSL’s Orlando Mold Testing Lab Offers Workshop with 7 CEU’s Approved by Florida DBPR

EMSL Analytical, Inc. is hosting an Assessing the Built Environment for Water Damage and Fungal Growth Workshop on April 25th in Orlando, Florida. Registration will begin at 8:00 AM followed by the training from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. This workshop is approved for 7.0 DBPR MRS Credits, which can be applied toward renewal of Mold Remediator and Mold Assessor Licenses. This training is also ABIH and ACAC compliant.

Enviro Team North America’s Patrick O’Donnell, CIEC, and Jason Popovic, CIE, will be instructing this course that features three unique sessions, including discussions about water intrusion, water vapor and report writing based on ASTM recommended report preparation. Session one will cover water intrusion. This section will begin with an introduction to the IIRC S 500 Reference Guide, moving into water microbiology and health concerns with exposure to contaminants. This session will also include information on how water affects various building products and ASTM Standards.

Session two will cover water vapor. The beginning portion will regard water vapor transmission, source identification and water vapor pathways, followed by ASHRAE, ASTM and US Army Corp of Engineers Standards. The last session will cover ASTM recommended fungal assessment report preparation. This will provide the attendees with information regarding the organization of a report, mandatory information, methods, inspection results, observation and limits, concluding with the summary and references.
