According to a May 2017 Gallup poll, 81 percent of Americans deem the United States’ moral state as “fair” or “poor,” hitting a seven-year low. Seventy-seven percent of survey participants believe that its moral values are “getting worse.” Dr. E. N. Haley’s “Invertebrate America” discusses this moral decline from a biblical perspective.
