Following tremendous response to Carnival Cruise Line’s first-ever cruises from San Francisco, the line is adding five voyages from the port to Carnival Miracle’s previously announced inaugural schedule in 2020.

Including the five new voyages, Carnival Miracle will now offer a total of 27 voyages within the wide-ranging program which includes four-day long weekend sailings to Ensenada, Mexico, 10-day cruises to Alaska and 15- and 16-day voyages  to Hawaii from March to September 2020. All voyages are now open for reservations.

These newly added sailings are part of Carnival’s ongoing expansion in the West Coast. Carnival carries more passengers from California than any other cruise operator and will further bolster its leadership position with the debut of the new Carnival Panorama from Long Beach in December 2019 and new cruise programs from San Diego beginning in December 2019 and San Francisco in 2020.

Today’s announcement coincides with the San Francisco debut of the Carnival AirShip, a 128-foot-long blimp which, after a busy month of flying across California, will now pass over iconic landmarks like the Golden Gate Bridge, the Port of San Francisco, Fisherman’s Wharf, and other hotspots throughout the city.

“After seeing the incredible reaction to Carnival Miracle’s initial San Francisco sailings announcement last month, we knew we had to continue to Choose Fun and bring even more options to the West Coast,” said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line. “And what better time to announce this amazing news than while the Carnival AirShip is flying over the city?”

Additional Voyages from San Francisco

Carnival Miracle’s five new voyages from San Francisco include:

  • Aug. 20, 2020 and Sept. 3, 2020: four-day sailing to Ensenada, Mexico;
  • Aug. 24, 2020 and Sept. 7, 2020: 10-day sailing to Alaska throughout the Last Frontier calling at Juneau, Skagway and Icy Strait Point;
  • Sept. 17, 2020: 16-day Carnival Journeys sailing to Hawaii calling at Maui (Kahului), Honolulu, Hilo, and Kauai.

Carnival’s Previously Announced Schedule from San Francisco

These voyages complement Carnival Miracle’s previously announced San Francisco-based program which kicks off on March 19, 2020 and includes:

  • Four-day weekend voyages to Ensenada throughout the spring and summer;
  • Five- and six-day cruises to Ensenada, Catalina Island and San Diego in the spring;
  • 10- and 11-day cruises to Alaska in the summer;
  • 15-day Carnival Journeys sailing to Hawaii in spring.

Carnival AirShip’s Aerial Journey to San Francisco

Prior to its San Francisco arrival, the AirShip was viewed by hundreds of thousands of Californians, flying over cultural moments, Carnival ships, local schools, travel agent events, and much more.

The AirShip’s month-long California journey began at the Rose Parade Showcase of Floats in Pasadena then visited Carnival’s sister brand, Princess Cruises; iconic events and attractions such as the Santa Monica Pier, Hollywood sign and Golden Globe® Awards; and multiple Sky Zone locations, Carnival Panorama’s newest fun-filled attraction.

But the fun isn’t over yet – with all of these milestones now behind the AirShip, consumers still have the chance to win a free cruise as well as additional prizes when they enter the AirShip Sweepstakes at carnival.com/choosefun.

And, for anyone who takes a photo of the AirShip and posts it on social media with the hashtag #ChooseFun, Carnival will make a $2 donation to its longtime charity partner St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®.

For reservations, contact any travel agent or call 1-800-CARNIVAL.
