Vale is considered Largest Company in Mozambique

Vale was awarded the title of “Largest Company in Mozambique” on December 4th in Maputo, thus occupying first place on the 100 largest companies in Mozambique list, replacing Mozal, an aluminum foundry company, who was in first place for the last 16 consecutive editions, followed by EDM - Electricidade de Moçambique in third place.

The survey, sponsored by the company, KPMG, considered 210 national companies, of which 39 were new entries, and used various criteria, including: annual turnover.

The award was presented during the 20th edition of the “100 Biggest Companies in Mozambique” ranking, attended by around 300 guests, including the patron of the initiative, the former President of the Republic of Mozambique, Joaquim Chissano and Ragendra de Sousa, the current Minister of Industry and Commerce. The main objective of the survey of the 100 largest companies in Mozambique is to promote transparency, reward excellence and be a source for informed decision making.
