All we want for Christmas is… Restylane, says Cosmetic Surgery Answers

In a recent survey, over 38% of visitors to Cosmetic Surgery Answers website named Restylane as the cosmetic treatment they would most like to receive as a present this Christmas.

Restylane is made in Sweden, and claims over 3 million treatments since 1996. It is becoming more and more popular, as this survey shows. So popular in fact that it got double the votes of Botox, which polled 16% of the vote. Breast enhancement was the second most popular treatment, attracting 27% of readers polled, and liposuction came in fourth behind Botox, with 13%.

The full results of the poll were

• Restylane – 38%
• Breast Enhancement – 27%
• Botox – 16%
• Liposuction – 13%
• Lunchtime Lift – 8%

“We were surprised by the popularity of Restylane” says Lynda Burgess, editorial director. “It demonstrates that the treatment is growing in popularity in Europe, and that the demand for non invasive treatments is greater than ever before and that the more ‘natural’ the treatment, the more people seem to want it. We are getting questions every day from women who want to fight the results of ageing, and these treatments, which can be done in a lunchtime, are the most popular items on many Christmas lists.”

Last year, it is estimated that more than 100,000 cosmetic facial treatments were preformed in the UK, with prices ranging from £175 to well over £3,000 dependent on the treatment involved.

The survey is the latest from Cosmetic Surgery Answers, which launched last month as both a website and downloadable magazine. Already attracting over 3,200 visitors in the first month after launch, the website offers the most independent and trusted coverage of cosmetic enhancement in the UK.
