A Christmas Gift to Prevent Bullying, Teen Suicides and School Shootings, Breaks Local Sales Records

While statistics on bullying, teen suicides and school shootings persist, one Oregon author is helping parents and grandparents take action this Christmas against these terrible trends. “The Adventures of the True Sunbeam” (www.TrueSunbeam.com) won the International Best Indie Book Award in the children’s category. Its universal story and unique special features are improving self confidence and self esteem, creating a greater sense of belonging at home while helping deter bullying behavior.

According to the latest reports on bullying statistics in the US, the number of occurrences has not changed significantly in 10 years – up or down. However, the effects of bullying appear to be getting more severe.

Time magazine recently did a feature article on the parents of school shooting victims, and the latest CDC report shows that the number one cause of death among boys age 15 to 19 is now gun related. When it comes to school shootings, reports indicate that as much as 70% of shooters were victims of bullies.
