Madison, WI – WEBWIRE

Rich Butkevic, PMP, CSM, who administrates the Scrum Alliance Wisconsin Agile & Scrum Practitioners User Group, has announced that an upcoming meeting for current and prospective group members on November 20, 2018.

In addition to open discussions, the meeting will focus on the important role decision making skills play in contemporary project management and how practitioners can improve both their own decision making ability and their ability to guide their teams through effective decision making processes.  During the session Rich Butkevic will present an overview of cognitive biases and how they impact project management based the article he authored titled “The 8 Cognitive Biases Project Managers Need to Watch For” which is published on the PMI website: https://www.projectmanagement.com/articles/502737/The-8-Cognitive-Biases-Project-Managers-Need-to-Watch-For

Rich Butkevic states: “Our group meetings are always, first and foremost, a great way for local project management professionals to meet and exchange thoughts and ideas regarding Agile, Scrum, and other iterative methodologies.  In addition to that overarching goal, I think it is good to have a defined topic to serve as a starting point for additional conversation.  The ability to make decisions that best serve the needs of the project and team, especially while under stress, is a critical skill that I think is often overlooked but certainly worthy of discussion"

The meeting will take place on November 20, 2018 at 5:30 PM at the Lone Girl Brewing Company at 114 E Main Street in Waunakee, WI.  The Wisconsin Agile & Scrum Practitioners User Group is free to join and all members are welcome.
