Mary Ardissone hopes to encourage readers to write down answered prayers

Many religious books and devotionals focus on the importance of prayer, the benefits of praying, how to enrich prayer life, etc. One book, “God Says Yes 91 Times” (WestBow Press; 2017) by Mary Ardissone, extols the joy of answered prayers and reaffirms one’s faith in God’s faithfulness.
 
“God Says Yes 91 Times” is more than just a collection of the author’s answered prayers and reflections; it is her thanksgiving to God’s goodness, an overall testimony about how God answered her prayers, and above all, her mission to remind people of His goodness.
 
Just like anyone else, the author went through difficult times. Her faith was challenged and her desperation led her to make a challenge for God, “If you can remind me of many of my significant prayer requests that you said yes to, I’ll write a book about it years later and share the requests with others.” The rest is history.
 
“Over the years, I’d write down on scraps of paper anything I could remember that God said yes to,” recalled the author. “The more I started to remember these and other prayer requests, the more I simply had to conclude that anything is possible with God. Letting go and letting God is important.”
 
With “God Says Yes 91 Times,” the author hopes the experiences with answer prayer will inspire readers to remember the times when their own prayers were answered. She encourages them to write them down. “I hope this book causes you to remember to write down your past granted prayer requests. Doing so can lift your mood and help you move ahead and not stay stuck where you are.”
 
The author added, “Keeping a record of requests and recording the final results can be an affirming experience at times.”
