djuice to give away 650,000 songs in November

WEBWIRE

(Fornebu, 27 October 2006) During November, djuice will give away 650,000 free songs to mobile users. At the same time, djuice will present a new visual profile and reduce prices for several of its mobile subscriptions.

“When djuice rebrands, not only will we look different, we will be different. djuice wants to be the market’s best mobile subscription for young people and we are therefore introducing significant price reductions while also adjusting our product portfolio. We are reducing the price of a number of djuice subscription plans and launching a cheaper pre-paid option,” says Truels Brodtkorb, Leader of djuice.

djuice was the first in Norway to launch a complete music service for mobile phones. Now djuice wants even more people to enjoy listening to music on their mobile phones. Today, djuice has 650,000 songs in its music store and in November djuice will be giving away that exact number of songs to its customers.

Telenor’s djuice, which offers mobile subscriptions aimed at young people, has become an international brand that has been launched in Ukraine, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Hungary and Norway. All together there are approximately 10 million people in the international djuice club.

“With 10 million customers, djuice is now the world’s second largest mobile offering for young people, and thereby one of the largest Norwegian brands in the world, measured in numbers of customers,” says Hans Christian Fleischer, Director of djuice International.

At the same time, djuice has adopted a new design, the most important change being the introduction of a new logo. The design profile has been developed in cooperation with Wolff Olins, which was also involved in the rebranding of Telenor.

“Our new image is playful, colourful and flexible, and the diversity reflects the many different aspects of djuice and the diversity of our customers’ interests. The logo can be viewed as an electric field, a magnetic core that attracts what’s good out there. This is how we envisage djuice, as the centre, from where good things emerge, the only place young people need to visit to get the latest and best mobile phone experience,” says Truels Brodtkorb.
