Annette Lindaas-Kanko impresses with debut novel “Whence You Came”

Karl and Hayley become close friends, although the latter remains unaware of the former’s feelings for her. They later part ways and both marry someone else.  
 
The story transitions to modern-day Chicago. Aboard a commuter train, boutique manager Maddie Reynolds meets the handsome Derek, who notices an embroidered handkerchief Maddie is holding, a family heirloom which Maddie takes to work for inspiration that day. Knowing their families possess identical handkerchiefs, they go on a quest together to ascertain the meaning of the strange embroidery and to uncover the mysterious connection between their families. They soon realize they are falling in love.

About the Author
 
Annette Lindaas-Kanko was born in Mayville, ND and raised on the Lindaas family farm. She and Mark, her husband of 37 years, live in Texas. They have 3 children, 8 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. She holds a Master of Science in Research Statistics and taught Mathematics at a San Antonio university for several years. She is also a published songwriter and enjoys teaching piano as well as tutoring math students. Whence You Came is her first published novel.
