“Harlem Angel” offers fantasy readers a chance to delve into the world of magic straight out of the big city.

Brenda Hardwick published “Harlem Angel: Book 1 of The Circle,” a fantasy novel that was many years in the making. The first three chapters of the book alone won her 2nd place at a fiction contest way back in 1993. Retirement gives her more time to devote to writing.

“Harlem Angel” is about Soraya, a young lady who lives in Harlem and always had nightmares for as long as she could remember.  She never paid them attention until she had a different dream, in which she saw someone murdered. Though it was just a dream, she had a feeling that there was more to it so she sought answers. Soraya eventually met an old lady, from whom she found out that she was gifted and that humanity needs her to fight the forces of evil that linger in the real world.

“Harlem Angel: Book 1 of The Circle” features well-developed characters and an engaging plot. The novel sets the bar in urban and paranormal fantasy.

Brenda Hardwick’s “Harlem Angel: Book 1 of the Circle” will be displayed in the upcoming 2018 Frankfurt International Book Fair on October 10, 2018. Get a copy of this engrossing fantasy book today!

About the Author
The author, Brenda M Hardwick, remembers high school when she first picked up a copy of Lord of the Rings, she was hooked! Brenda has been writing since 3rd grade, and poetry was her first outlet, having several poems published locally. Then, she started writing stories. Fantasy was where she landed because she could create everything and place it anywhere and any-when she wanted. After winning second place in Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers Colorado Gold Contest with the first three chapters of “Harlem Angel” in 1993, life happened. Followed by inspiration through meeting her favorite author, Anne McCaffrey, who published her first novel at the age of 50; Brenda knew she would get it done, and that the other stories she had to tell would gain life as well. Brenda lives in Colorado with her dog Lelu and has two sons, four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter and has recently retired from a 27-year career serving in state government. She says that now she can concentrate more on her writing. “It is never too late to let your light shine!”
