Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum Appoints Corinne Godsall Director, Corporate, Institutional, and Global Partners

NEW YORK, NY – WEBWIRE

The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum and Foundation announced that Corinne Godsall has joined the institution as Director, Corporate, Institutional, and Global Partners. Godsall comes to the Guggenheim from Smithsonian Enterprises, where as Director of Media Operations she launched new content businesses and developed funded programs through corporate partnerships and in collaboration with the institution’s nineteen museums. In her new role, Godsall is responsible for developing and managing a strategic plan for the museum’s global fundraising program with corporations, foundations, and government agencies to build support for Guggenheim initiatives, exhibitions, education programming, capital projects, and general operations. Overseeing the Corporate and Institutional Development teams, Godsall reports to Catherine Carver Dunn, Deputy Director of Advancement.

Dunn said, “Corinne’s far-ranging and considerable experience working for high-profile nonprofit organizations both domestically and internationally, where she has had oversight and responsibility for key revenue-generating projects and properties, make her an exceptional fit for the ambitions of our international constellation of museums. We look forward to Corinne’s leadership and strategic guidance and welcome her to the Guggenheim.”

Prior to her time at the Smithsonian, Godsall worked for the media arm of the Nobel Foundation, project managing programs and events around the world in partnership with Nobel laureates, academic institutions, and multinational corporations. She also worked for the Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival, where she was manager of development, sponsorship, and special events. Godsall holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Washington and Lee University and a Master of Arts in cultural and creative industries from Kings College London.
