Through Book, Author Nancy Seriani Opens Up About Losing Adult Sibling to Cancer

There is no other loss in adult life that is often the most neglected than the death of an adult sibling. Adults often feel abandoned when they lose a sibling. The sympathy goes to their parents or the deceased’s spouse and children. Brothers and sisters, however, are supposed to get over it quickly.
 
Nancy Seriani didn’t because if she did, she wouldn’t have written a memoir titled “For the Love of Sister… A Sibling’s Story” (ReadersMagnet, 2017). The book narrates the author’s account of caring for her younger sister, Nena, as she slowly succumbs to cancer. The story goes beyond the heartbreak and emotional pain as it inspires hope and love and invites readers to talk about cancer in the family.
