Petróleos Mexicanos Has Stable Finances and Is On the Right Track Towards Creating More Partnerships

The CEO of Petróleos Mexicanos, Carlos Treviño Medina, assured today that the State-owned Productive Company has stable finances and is on the right track to generate more strategic partnerships, which will increase its profitability.

He stated that Petróleos Mexicanos is currently facing an openly competitive environment, where international companies consider it as an attractive partner and a solid ally to produce more wealth in Mexico, increase job creation and promote more investments in the country.

By participating in the International Forum IMEF 2018: Politics, Economy and Society, which was organized by the Mexican Institute of Financial Executives (initials in Spanish: IMEF), Treviño Medina stated that Pemex has focused on developing projects through partnerships and migrations since the Energy Reform came into effect, and that this measure helps the company to share risks, obtain technology, deepen its knowledge base, and make improvements in production and exploration.

We have successfully implemented farmouts and partnerships, and we are constantly assessing the best strategies, with our focus on the company’s profitability, the Pemex CEO said.

The International Forum IMEF 2018 hosts over 600 financial and corporate executives, representatives from the public sector, entrepreneurs, academics and members of the Mexican Institute of Financial Executives, who will discuss current issues, such as cyber-security, production, and topics surrounding the energy, education, and political sectors.
