When his parents unexpectedly died, he takes on their legacy but he soon realizes that he wants to make his own mark (as his name implies) on the world and be remembered as someone who did something meaningful to save or at least, improve humanity. That is when he finds Project Spacemine and decides to give it a try.

“Project Spacemine” tackles both sides of a coin – the daring poor idealist and the reserved rich realist. It not only deals with the struggles of being poor and the loneliness of being rich but also how the two men who, despite the different circumstances of their lives, could combine their skills and resources to start an ambitious project. The rim of the coin symbolizes how these two worlds meet…and with a little unexpected extraterrestrial help…the coin will land on its edge!
 
Notwithstanding the mature themes, the book overall talks about pursuing one’s goal in life that is beyond money and power. The process of achieving this goal makes it seem realistic.
