Service will lead a person to discover faith, love, and maturity, and real servants will encourage other believers to reflect and open their minds to God’s wisdom—the way Everlean Merritt-Williams was inspired by a vision from God to write Do You Know the Man?

First-time author Merritt-Williams writes a fictional story about a young man named L. James and his quest to know about “the man.” As L. James goes deeper into his quest, he becomes more intrigued by how “the man” dedicated his life to the service of the Church. It’s up to him to continue on with his quest and learn that dreams can come true, and, more importantly, God’s purpose for his life.

“Do You Know the Man?” is Merritt-Williams tribute to her pastor, Rev. Dr. Clayton E. Taylor Sr. The story reflects his life, character, belief, commitment, and accomplishments as a servant of the Church. “I truly enjoyed this book, it kept my interest from beginning to end, I feel as if I Know the Man,” writes Brenda C. Hunt, an Amazon customer.

Merritt-Williams was invited to hold a book signing at the Monroeville Library in Alabama for the Black History Month celebration in 2017.
