“My stories include family values, life-learning situations and joyful endings. The primary message is to appreciate a wholesome and meaningful life,”

Leaving home on a pursuit to find your origins can be quite daunting. Such quest is presented in Philip Heubach’s book, Freddy and the Rock Who Becomes a Sir.

The fable tells the story of the sea otter Freddy and his journey. The fun-loving animal was forced out to sea by a strong storm when he was a pup. After three days, he was rescued by two caring dolphins a thousand miles away from home. A year after his rescue, he leaves the only family he knows and sets off to find his real family who he doesn’t quite remember. He meets and befriends strangers while on his adventure. He also encounters a few sea creatures who challenges his survival. In order to get to his real family, Freddy has to get past the challenges thrown at him along the way.

“My stories include family values, life-learning situations and joyful endings. The primary message is to appreciate a wholesome and meaningful life,” says the author.

Freddy and the Rock Who Becomes a Sir was featured at the Guadalajara International Book Fair 2016. The event was held at Expo Guadalajara exhibition center in Guadalajara, Mexico. LitFire Publishing displayed the book from November 26 to December 4.
