An Unfiltered Account of the Inner Workings of the Female Mind

A journey of poignant beauty into the life of a complex young woman

Miami, FL – WEBWIRE

Twenty-year-old Anwyn Jones faces with increasing trepidation the need to transition from college graduate to a bona fide member of the work force. She yearns for independence but, ill-equipped to survive alone, she accepts the protection of an ex-boyfriend, Bennett. Her chosen camouflage is initially effective, but for how long can a chameleon defend itself from future struggles by camouflaging?

The situation becomes intolerable and Anwyn is forced to admit that the challenges and changes in her life must be of her own making. With a keen understanding of her own insecurities, Anwyn is forced to fend for herself.

“The Reluctant Chameleon” is a masterly study of a young woman’s precarious position in a society dominated by men.

Pearl Watkins’ stunning first novel will be displayed on April 10-12, 2018 in London, UK for 2018 London Book Fair New Title Showcase.
