A fast-paced fiction that takes readers deep into a murder mystery, David Random’s third novel, Connected: A Case of Unique Proximity, lets readers follow the veteran detective Joe Antonelli as he tries to untangle a peculiar case unlike any other he has handled in his career.

Detective Antonelli is in a bind. A seemingly open and shut murder case suddenly becomes a headache. It turns out that the witness and the confessed murderer are conjoined twins literally joined at the hip. The murderer and his eyewitness brother will either go to jail together or walk as freemen. Can the veteran detective untangle the truth and save an innocent man from being punished for the sins of his brother?

In Connected: A Case of Unique Proximity, David Random once again shows his vivid imagination and eye for details. As Kirkus Reviews states, the book is “a winning twin spin that combines an ethical conundrum with police procedural.” While Amanda Adams of Clarion Review writes, “Connected is a wholly absorbing and spellbinding mystery from the start.”
