Mitsubishi Electric America Foundation Awards Grant to Blue Star Recyclers
Grant expands mission of recycling electronics to create jobs for youth with disabilities.

Mitsubishi Electric America Foundation announced that Blue Star Recyclers is one of several recipients of $569,500 in new grants as part of its national MPWR Initiative designed to empower youth with disabilities to lead productive lives. Blue Star Recyclers is a Colorado-based nonprofit social enterprise with a mission of recycling electronics to create jobs for people with disabilities.
The Foundation grant will support Blue Star Recycler’s national expansion of its E3 Program, focused on Employment Development, Environmental Stewardship, Economic Opportunity, and creating jobs for people with autism.
“The Foundation’s funding goals to empower youth with disabilities for the workplace and our mission to create jobs for people with autism and other disabilities is beautifully aligned,” stated Blue Star Recyclers’ CEO Bill Morris. “This grant will help us take our proven E3 model to more cities across the U.S.”
