UK’s Largest Conference Hotel Introduces Dynamic New Food & Beverage Concepts for Meetings

Hilton London Metropole, Hilton’s largest hotel in Europe, has launched a new flexible, all-inclusive food & beverage concept for meetings of up to 50 people. The new initiative, which forms part of Hilton’s “Meetings Simplified” package, recognises the growing importance of food as part of the meetings experience along with the desire for more flexibility and informality.  It has been developed following extensive customer research by Hilton with meeting and event bookers and agents.

The centrally located London hotel will now provide all meetings of up to 50 people booking the “Meetings Simplified” package with all-day grazing for morning and afternoon breaks ... at no-additional cost. The new all-inclusive, free-flowing grazing stations give meeting organisers more control over breaks and keep delegates continually refreshed and refuelled throughout the day.

As well as choosing when to take their breaks, delegates will also be able to choose from a host of healthy and indulgent refreshment options.  These are based around four elements designed to ensure that everyone can enjoy delicious and creative options whatever they are in the mood for, even if they have special dietary requirements. The four elements are:

• Free From - additive-free dishes for those with special dietary requirements such as a detox salad of spinach, kale, broccoli, blueberries and flax seed, or a gluten free pasta salad with roasted vegetables and pine nuts
• Superfoods & Energisers - from bircher muesli to grilled chicken thigh with mixed green and grapefruit salad, these are foods rich in proteins and antioxidants to stimulate brain activity and vitality.
• Guilty Pleasures - sweet and savoury treats, which might include sugared and chocolate brioche buns or a gnocchi trio with spinach, beetroot, pumpkin and gorgonzola cream sauce.
• Hydration Station - a selection of ices teas, fruit infused waters, Twining teas and infusions to keep delegates refreshed.

The new concept also reinforces Hilton’s ’Meet With Purpose^TM’ pillars of ’Mindful Meeting’ (less resource intensive, minimising food waste), ’Mindful Eating’ (balanced, healthy food and hydration options) and ’Mindful Being’ (enhanced delegate experience, productivity, energy stimulation and flexibility).
