Dr. Joe L. Sharp comes up with fresh, new ways to preach Christmas
“Let’s Preach the Christmas Story: 91 Sermons on Christmas” is a book full of fresh ideas and new pointers for ministers, Sunday school teachers, or anyone who wants to impart the message of Christmas.
Preaching the nativity of Christ requires renewed vigor and enthusiasm among ministers. This book will offer such.
Baptist minister Dr. Joe Sharp has been a pastor for the same group of people for thirty-nine amazing years. Year after year, he has been preaching these people and sometimes he preaches four times each Christmas season. To keep his preaching alive and more interesting, he constantly looks for new ideas and material, which eventually he had compiled in a book. Through his book, he hopes to share with fellow preachers and Sunday school teachers new inspiration and renewed vigor in preaching the birth of Jesus Christ. “Let’s Preach the Christmas Story: 91 Sermons on Christmas” will be displayed in the upcoming 2018 New York Rights Fair which will be happening on May 30, 2018.

About the Author
The author pastored the Air Base Road Baptist Church for thirty-nine years. He was moved by God, to Alexandria, Louisiana, in 1968 to establish the church, which works with GIs from England Air Force Base as well as civilians living in the area. There have been thousands come and go through the church, and thousands have come to know Christ as personal savior there. Many of the young men and ladies who’ve served in the church have surrendered to full time Christian service, gone on to Bible College, and are serving as pastors, missionaries, Christian schoolteachers, and full-time church workers. At one time there were over twenty students from that church in Bible College.
Brother Sharp has a bachelor’s degree from Bible Baptist Seminary in Arlington, Texas, as well as a master’s degree and a PhD in biblical studies and a PhD in biblical counseling from Louisiana Baptist University in Shreveport, Louisiana. He was pastor of the church and administrator of Airbase Baptist School. He taught an extension of Baptist Christian College in the church for twenty-five years. God has richly blessed his ministry since he surrendered to preach in June of 1963. He retired in March of 2007 after pastoring for a total of forty-four years. After retirement he pastored in Gloryland Baptist Church in interim, then spent four and a half years pastoring Gospel Light Baptist Church in Pineville and is now pastoring at Anchor Baptist in Tioga, Louisiana. He has written four years of Bible College curriculum covering the entire KJV Bible, plus other pastor-related courses.
