About the Author
Nonye Aghanya was born in Nigeria, West Africa. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science in 1990. Feeling the call to medicine, she became a Registered Nurse and further obtained a Master of Science degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Pace University, New York. Ms. Aghanya has worked in various outpatient/inpatient/home care health settings for the past 25 years and has seen first-hand examples of what to do and not to do, both from the providers’ perspective and the patients’ positions. She co-owned and operated a private medical clinic until 2007 and currently works in a retail clinic setting. Ms. Aghanya and her husband have four daughters; they currently reside in Alexandria, Virginia.
