“Justice Makes a Difference: The Story of Miss Freedom Fighter, Esquire,” Amazon Best-Selling Book Free for One More Day (12/22/17)

United States – WEBWIRE

In Justice Makes a Difference: The Story of Miss Freedom Fighter, Esquire,” Dr. Artika R. Tyner notes that civil rights, social change and justice begins with education and literacy. Tyner teaches youth important lessons that can be the impetus for developing core leadership skills.

This book is currently free tomorrow, Monday, December 18 until Friday, December 22, 2017 and available for download on Amazon. Get your copy here: https://www.amazon.com/Justice-Makes-Difference-Freedom-Fighter-ebook/dp/B075V8JCVP/

Tyner will be delivering 1,000 books to schools around the globe, beginning in her hometown of St. Paul, MN and ending with a special visit to schools in Ghana. Written by Tyner in association with Jacklyn Milton and illustrated by Jeremy Norton, the children’s book utilizes real life examples of powerful leaders throughout history to highlight the importance of education, social change and the benefits of diversity.

“An inspiring book every child should read,” said Judge LaJune Lange, (Ret.) and President of LTL International Leadership Institute. “To maintain a society built on justice, each of us must understand what the principles of justice are and whose shoulders we stand on. Each generation must work to prevent the erosion of our human and civil rights. Dr. Tyner’s book teaches us an important lesson!”

Without literacy, there can be no meaningful education that inspires youth to greater accomplishments. “Justice Makes a Difference” shines a light on relevant contributions by change agents from around the world and has the potential to motivate youth to make a difference in the world.
All proceeds from the sale of the book will be used to further the work of Planting People Growing Justice Leadership Institute (PPGJLI), a Minnesota based nonprofit that provides a platform for the initiation of social change, cultivation of collective leadership, and promotion of public policy advocacy. The book utilizes real life examples that highlight the contributions of powerful leaders throughout history and their personal journeys that resulted in change in the law and public policy that continues to reverberate through society today.

The book tells the story of a girl named Justice whose grandmother reminded her that being named Justice came with great responsibility. “It is said that you cannot be what you cannot see,” said Justice Alan C. Page, Minnesota Supreme Court (Ret.) and founder of Page Education Foundation. “The warm and inspirational story of ‘Justice Makes a Difference’ guides children along the path of seeing the possible. Seeing the possible both creates hope and positions us to fulfill our dreams. And in turn, bends the moral arc toward justice.”
