Danny Ocean’s “Me Rehúso” has broken the record to become the Latin song with the most weeks on Spotify’s Top 50 Global chart, surpassing Luis Fonsi’s “Despacito” ft. Daddy Yankee. “Me Rehúso” entered the chart on April 1st, and has now logged 36 weeks and counting. Just four months after its global chart debut, the song reached its peak position, No. 18, on the prestigious list – which tracks the popularity of every track released around the world.  The song currently has more than 478 million streams on Spotify, while the companion video has over 831 million views on YouTube.

Spotify revealed its annual Year in Music lists, showing the top artists, albums, tracks and moments that made 2017 a great year for music fans around the world. Reflecting its widespread global success, “Me Rehúso” was named the No. 1 most-listened to track in Colombia, Chile and Mexico.

This great achievement coincides with the release of Ocean’s eagerly anticipated second single, “Dembow,” which is now available on all digital platforms.

The Venezuelan-born Ocean is truly a global phenomenon. Just one year ago, he was working at a pizza place and producing songs in his bedroom, where “Me Rehúso” was born. And even as the song began its organic growth in country after country, Ocean remained a mysterious figure, allowing the music to speak for itself.
