“Humans aren’t as good as we should be in our capacity to empathize with feelings and thoughts of others, be they humans or other animals on Earth. So maybe part of our formal education should be training in empathy. Imagine how different the world would be if, in fact, that were ’reading, writing, arithmetic, empathy."

“Look Who’s in the Garden! What Do I See?” is an inspiring book by Phyllis M. Monaco which teaches young children not only to count but to appreciate the surroundings and on how to take care of them. A plus in this book is also a tip on how to rhyme. The young readers will be excited to learn while enjoying the illustrations. This book is definitely a one-stop shop.

This book should be in every elementary school and in the homes of couples with young children.

“Look Who’s in the Garden! What Do I See?” is an intense book which will be on display at the 2018 Bologna Book Fair which will be happening on February 26, 2018. Don’t forget to mark the calendar and grab a copy.

About the Author
Phyllis Monaco is a self-taught painter with a BA in psychology and early childhood. She has a well-versed background working with children for over 20 years – whether it be a one-on-one special education aid, kindergarten teacher’s assistant, or preschool teacher for underprivileged children. The children she has met throughout her career made her realize she wanted to continue to impact kids long after she’s able to teach, inspiring her to write and illustrate children’s books. Phyllis spends a lot of time in her garden, and even more time with her two dogs, grand-dog, and cat.
