Louisiana Mold and Air Quality Testing Laboratory Offers Free Construction Defect, Moisture and Mold Workshop

EMSL Analytical, Inc. is hosting a comprehensive day-long course that takes place in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on February 8th.

Professionals involved with construction defects, water damage, mold or indoor air quality (IAQ) issues are invited to take part in a one-day workshop being offered by EMSL Analytical, Inc. The workshop, Preventing Construction Defects, Moisture Intrusion and Mold, is being held on February 8th, 2018 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana from 9:00 AM to 05:00 PM.

This workshop will use simple science and engineering principles to help professionals prevent construction defects, moisture intrusion and mold. Attendees will be prepared for the inevitable flooding of a building as well as what to design and look for during construction in order to avoid the defects that frequently cause moisture intrusions and mold. Participants will also learn how to prepare for and respond to a flood. This will be a fast-paced, action-packed workshop designed to teach ways to identify potential problems in advance and to design to avoid problems. Attendees will also learn tips for collaborating with other contractors, benchmarking and measuring performance, and ways to teach everyone on a jobsite how to avoid defects and mold growth.
