EMSL Analytical, Inc. Partners with the FDA and University of Maryland’s Joint Institute for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition

EMSL Analytical, Inc. is proud to announce its partnership with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the University of Maryland’s Joint Institute for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition (JIFSAN). EMSL has joined JIFSAN’s industry advisory council, which is made up of key industry experts who advise the JIFSAN Director on current food safety issues.  

EMSL continues to partner with best in practice organizations within the Food Safety arena, such as JIFSAN. Established in 1996, JIFSAN is a jointly administered, multidisciplinary research, education and outreach program. It fosters the missions of the FDA and University of Maryland through partnerships that provide a solid research focused foundation for sound public policy.

JIFSAN’s mission is to advance sound strategies to improve public health, food safety and applied nutrition using risk analysis principles through cooperative research, education and outreach programs. Their vision is to be the premier source of scientific information and education programs on Food Safety and Applied Nutrition, reducing the incidence of food-related illness.
