Allen Scovil Pens Thrilling Story of Two Roboticized Teenagers

Tillsonburg, Ontario, Canada – WEBWIRE

There are all these moments you think you won’t survive. And then you survive.

“Deep Black Road” tells the plight of two unfortunate teenagers who find themselves roboticized, and the struggles they go through in the face of a vast serpentine evil led by The Prophet, which has entwined itself throughout the world’s power structures.

Who can stand against it? The ambitious general, who is terminally ill? Our geeky boy, crushed by an out-of-control robot? Our snobby girl, fatally injured by a runaway car? But they don’t die. Instead, their sparks of life are saved, and put into cutting-edge robots.

When the boy refuses to help the general to stage the military coup he was planning before, the girl steps up instead; and the boy gets caught up with the renegade Followers of the Anointed One.

Then the Prophet declares himself Emperor of the World; and our three robotic people, thrown together in an improbable alliance, are now on the run from the New Order.

When the boy had been lingering between life and death after his accident, he’d been granted a ‘great and terrible’ destiny; but will he have the courage to fulfill it as he head down … the Deep Black Road?

This science fiction novel is a unique story which brings readers’ minds to the unknown, and their imaginations to the highest level.

“Deep Black Road” will be one of the fascinating books to be displayed in the upcoming 2018 American Library Association Midwinter which will be taking place on February 9, 2018.

About the Author
Allen Scovil was born in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, and then went with his family to Ontario before he was five. He’s spent the rest of his time living in various places in Ontario ever since, getting educated, raising four children, and struggling to keep working (He’s an Aspie). Now that he’s finally retired, he has the time to indulge his hobby of writing, which he began in 2003. He’s always been fascinated by science fiction and fantasy stories, and has searched for a way to make them Christ- and God-centred, instead of technology- or magic-centred. He has so far self-published six such books (print and eBooks).
