Beth Bristow Gives Life to a Wonderful Historical Fiction That is Truly a Page-Turner

The book is a historical fiction that will give the readers a splendid background of a battle for the throne of the English monarchy.

Nixa, Missouri – WEBWIRE

A historical fiction that will bring to life a story that revolves around tyranny, betrayal and thirst for power.

“Survival of the Blood,” a historical fiction written by Beth Bristow, tells the story of how Charles Stuart came to Scotland to seek support from the Scots to dethrone England’s King George II and have him replaced by Charles’ father, James Stuart. In the ensuing battle, the lives of the Scots were endangered as most of them were not prepared, compared to the English soldiers. Their artilleries and provisions have run out and survival is the only thing left in mind for them.

“Survival of the Blood” is a magnificent work of literature and is highly recommended to those who are avid fiction readers. The significant background given by the author is superb and well-researched.

“Survival of the Blood” is one of the titles expected to be displayed at the 2018 Book Expo New Title Showcase, which will soon take place on May 30, 2108.

About the Author
Beth Bristow holds a master’s degree in social work (MSW) and counseling. She has written several articles and short stories about English and Scottish history and turned to writing historical fiction full-time. “Survival of the Blood” is her first book. Beth lives in southern Missouri with her Scottish bag-pipe playing husband and two dogs, Tam O’Shanter and Millie. When Beth discovered she had Clan Cameron ancestors, it was natural for her to seek more information about them. After many trips to Scotland, she says the most memorable thing was when she first saw the misty mountains and glens of the Highlands. It felt as if she had returned home and she feels the same every time she returns to Scotland. Beth is a certified family counselor.
