SANTA CLARA, CA—September 28, 2006—NVIDIA Corporation (Nasdaq: NVDA), the worldwide leader in programmable graphics processor technologies, today announced the NVIDIA Quadro Plex 1000, the world’s first dedicated visual computing system (VCS) delivering a quantum leap in visual computing, is now shipping in volume and available directly from the NVIDIA store at the Company Web Site or authorized partners.

The NVIDIA Quadro Plex VCS, available in three models, is designed to interface with standard workstations and servers to deliver advanced scalability for demanding professional applications, including those powering multiple streams of 4K high-definition video, digital content creation and visual effects, 3D styling and design, scientific and medical visualization, oil and gas exploration, or visual simulation and training.

* Performance of up to 80-billion pixels/sec and seven billion vertices/sec

* Resolutions as high as 148 megapixels on 16 synchronized digital-output channels and eight HD SDI channels

The NVIDIA Quadro Plex VCS 1000 is compatible with an officially certified set of x86 32- and 64-bit Intel and AMD processors running Windows and Linux operating systems.

Quadro Plex Gains Momentum
Since the unveiling in early August, the NVIDIA Quadro Plex VCS has received industry praise and attention, with major installations at automotive, geosciences, advanced research, and design companies worldwide.

In addition, authorized partners such as PNY Technologies (US and Europe), Elsa (Japan), Leadtek (Asia/Pacific), HP, Sun Microsystems, BOXX Technologies, Colfax International, Verari Systems and Wortman will be offering NVIDIA Quadro Plex to customers.
