WEBWIRE

Wayne, N.J., October 13, 2016 (Booth #2301)The Endoscopy Division of FUJIFILM Medical Systems U.S.A., Inc., will showcase its latest innovations in providing high-resolution, high-quality medical imaging to physicians at CHEST 2016, the American College of Chest Physicians Annual Meeting, on October 24-26 in Los Angeles, CA. Fujifilm’s EBUS technology in conjunction with the Sonart SU-1 Ultrasonic Processor as well as the company’s line of 500 Series Video Bronchoscopes will be among the highlights on display.

“Fujifilm is focused on providing pulmonologists with an interactive experience,” said Keiichi Nagata, President, Endoscopy Division of FUJIFILM Medical Systems U.S.A., Inc. “We have designed our booth so that clinicians can try out our technologies and experience the ease of use and flexibility that is required for a variety of procedures and interventions.”

Pulmonologists have perceived performance and high-quality imaging in a compact design as valuable modalities. Fujifilm’s new Sonart SU-1 brings a new approach to endoscopic ultrasound and provides excellent diagnostic capabilities.

The system can be used with Fujifilm’s EB-530US ultrasonic video bronchoscope, which is recognized for its unique 10-degree forward oblique view. Specifically designed for supporting diagnosis and staging, the EB-530US is equipped with high-resolution, ultra-small Super CCD chip technology, offering bright, vivid, high-resolution endoscopic images. With a slim distal end outer diameter of 6.7mm, the EB-530US scope is designed to improve maneuverability, insertion capability and physician efficiency. The scope also features dual light guides for even illumination and has an enhanced distal angulation to facilitate precise targeting of accessories including aspiration needles.

Attendees at CHEST 2016, can enjoy hands-on demonstrations at the Fujifilm booth where they will find three EBUS interactive stations with the new SU-1 Ultrasonic Processor and also a bronchoscope showcase station displaying the 500 Series Video Bronchoscopes.

Fujifilm will also host an in-booth educational event that will feature world renowned physician, David Feller-Kopman, MD, Director of Bronchoscopy & Interventional Pulmonology at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Feller-Kopman will present “Lung Cancer: The State of the Disease” on Monday, October 24th at 2:30pm and again on Tuesday, October 25th at 1:30pm. He will cover the epidemiology of lung cancer, as well as the very latest on screening trends, diagnosis, staging, and treatment. The brief presentation will be followed by a Q&A session.
