Establishing Friendship through an Adventure

Author Irene Dolnick’s book, Kurt, Gert, Jazmine, and Bagel, graced BookExpo America 2016. LitFire Publishing featured the book from May 11 to 13, 2016. The event was held at McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois.

The book tells the story of Kurt, Gert, and Jazmine, three beagles who frequently play together. But as the weather starts to change, Kurt and Gert find themselves becoming indoor pets. Jazmine is left alone, facing the cold and looking for a new playmate. A new beagle named Bagel, who is also in search of a friend, comes into the picture. Together, Jazmine and Bagel play and imagine and learn the meaning of friendship.
