“The Disabled Veteran’s Story,” An Amazon Best-Selling Book Will Be Available For A $0.99 Download For One More Day

United States – WEBWIRE

Sacrifice is just not a word.  Veterans and their families, as well as first responders put their lives on the line for the freedom we share each day in a committed act of service.

In “The Disabled Veteran’s Story: The Sacrifices of Our Veterans and Their Families,” author, speaker, counselor and coach, retired Major and VA employee Miguel Reece speaks to what happens when a military member becomes a veteran—too many are dying before or soon after receiving their entitled VA benefits. He also shares what others have done to receive their entitled benefits. It has been said, “it is not what you say, it is how you say it” and the book speaks of those right words.

Through his book, Reece has made good on the promise to share the stories of the sacrifices endured by the veterans, their parents, spouses, family members and caretakers with the world.  He was urged not to allow those chapters in our history to ever be forgotten. It is just a small gesture to say: “Thank you for your service,” but a lot more meaningful to say: “THANK YOU FOR YOUR SACRIFICES AND SERVICE.”

Those who serve and sacrificed deserve our acknowledgement and respect as they continue to be haunted during their recovery and integration into daily living at home. The  travesty of the spouse who had to start over seven different times following the military member along with their daughter changing schools nine times in twelve years; the shattered dream of one of the first female pilots and her struggle with the glass ceiling; the amazing Bataan Death March Survivor story; POWs from WWII and Korea— true love stories ; how warriors volunteered for the draft as a way out from many communities , or the personal heart wrenching story of the bureaucratic journey of a veteran who left home to pave the way for his family, fought the VA for nine years for his entitled benefits, after exposure to Agent Orange, Korea; survivors, fighters and patriots from Pearl Harbor, Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan are all page turning stories with outstanding reviews.

Here’s what some of the viewers have said:

**A Story Long Overdue---Miguel has touched on an area few veterans talk about openly. As a veteran with over 24 years of active duty in the US Army, I find myself sitting on the side line due to my disabilities incurred while serving my country. Mr. Reece adds voice to those of us with our own untold stories. The pain, disillusion and difficult adjustments we must make when we not only leave the military, but leave our physical selves behind. This book should be given to service members who are still coming to terms with the changes in their quality of life. A must read for our political machine before committing our young men and women to a war with no clear objective. Bravo Miguel! --- Kenneth

**This Is An Awesome Book – A Must Read---This is the best of the year, you need to get this book and read it right away, you will get an in depth look at what our Vets had to endure for us to enjoy the freedom we have -- we really need to honor these brave men that suffered, and some died, so we can sleep in peace at knight -- read the book -- it will give you new respect for our brave men and women -- and read how they are treated when they get home from a brutal war -- look at what is happening to our Vets when they need help the most -- buy the book and give your own opinion -- don’t let this pass you by---    Ivannroy

**Very Eye Opening and Informative---My Father was a WW2 veteran and these stories were so touching and educational it truly helped me to understand what he went through and that he had PTSD. Knowing what heroes these veterans are was moving and very much left me wanting to appreciate their efforts more.  I will thank every person in uniform from now on!!!  Excellent book. Miguel did a great job telling the veterans and families stories. A must read for all vet’s and their families. --- Judy

**A Timely and Informative Read---Miguel Reece is a veteran who cares deeply for other veterans. He takes us on a journey to explore the impact of service injuries to a broad range of characters. From the Bataan Death March survivor to the Iraq war vet with a traumatic brain injury, each story shows us the struggles so many face after their service ends. From dealing with those mindless bureaucrats, to being preyed upon by a variety of scammers or con-artist and helpful “friends”. But at the same time they inspire us. We as a nation owe so much to the people that have given greatly.--- Evans
