Berman’s Second Autobiography to Be Featured at BookExpo America 2016

The pursuit of love and happiness has driven people for many years. Language professor Esther Berman shares in her second autobiography, Love—the Giver: The Dilemma of Givers and Takers, her ventures to find both while striving to make a career for herself.

Opening with an earnest letter from the author to her dear friend Helen, Love—the Giver sets an atmosphere of openness and vulnerability. Berman explains to her friend the events that led her to near insanity and, eventually, shaped her whole character.

In the retelling of her life story, Berman spares no details in exposing both her pleasant and unpleasant experiences. She describes how her deep desire for independence, love, and affection led her to cross paths and become entangled with a mix of eccentric people. All the while, she struggled with establishing herself as a career woman.

About the Author

Esther Berman teaches French and English in college. She has published two autobiographies and five other books. Presently, she resides in Summit, New Jersey, with her family and three cats.
