Thrilling Tales of Crime and Politics to Be Showcased in the 2016 Tucson Festival of Books

Blaring sirens, rushing footsteps, dark alleys, enigmatic characters, and a whole lot more come together in Rosalie Contino’s short story compilation, Underground Stories.

This coming March, Underground Stories will be showcased in the 2016 Tucson Festival of Books. This book is a collection of ten short stories saturated with exhilarating tales of crime, drama, political suspense, and edgy literature interspersed with some thought-provoking poetry. Some stories were authored by Contino herself, while others were contributed by her esteemed colleagues.

Each story is filled with emotionally charged scenes, action-packed events, and complicated mysteries that mystery-thriller aficionados will appreciate. Some stories are not for the weak of heart, Contino cautions readers.

About the Author

Rosalie H. Contino, PhD, is an Italian American born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. She received her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Fordham University and master’s and doctor’s degrees in educational theater and costume design from New York University. Now retired, she spends her time writing books and plays, designing costumes, and giving lectures.
