Lansing, MI – WEBWIRE

The 2016 ABIH® Forum will be an important opportunity for discussing how ABIH can increase public visibility of the protection and value provided by Certified Industrial Hygienists now and in the future.

Later this month, the American Industrial Hygiene Conference & Exposition (AIHce) gets underway at the Baltimore Convention Center in Maryland.  The event begins on May 21st and continues through the 26th. Thousands of industrial hygiene, occupational, and environmental, health and safety professionals will be in attendance.

Representatives from the American Board of Industrial Hygiene® will be active participants at this annual event.  ABIH® has a busy agenda planned as exhibitors and will be holding a Board of Directors meeting in addition to other events. One of these events is the annual ABIH® Forum which will take place on Monday, May 23rd, from 2:00 to 3:30 PM.  During this event, the Impact Award will be presented to Carter Ficklen III and the Lynn C. O’Donnell Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to John Henshaw. The Forum will also include a discussion of the implementation of the American Board of Industrial Hygiene’s strategic initiatives with the opportunity for attendees to engage Board members and staff in open dialog about the future of the organization and profession.

“The 2016 ABIH® Forum will be an important opportunity for discussing how ABIH can increase public visibility of the protection and value provided by Certified Industrial Hygienists now and in the future,” said Susan Ripple, CIH® and Chair of ABIH®. “We invite and encourage everyone who will be at AIHce 2016 to attend the ABIH® Forum to learn about the latest developments, to celebrate the achievements of our peers during the award ceremony, and to shape the future of the profession.  For those who cannot make the Forum, representatives from ABIH® will be available in the exhibit hall at booth #335 to answer questions.”
