These prayers are for believers to use in their quiet times.

The recently concluded Tucson Festival of Books was flocked by readers and authors of different kinds. One of the books showcased was Dennis Shepherd’s Praying for Your Congregation. This spiritual book is a compilation of prayers for churchgoers and their church.

These prayers are for believers to use in their quiet times. The author motivates them to pray for their ministry and make the devotions personal by using their ministry’s name. The author’s inspiration for writing these litanies came from various sources. Most of them have biblical references, and some are from songs and conversations with fellow congregants.

The book offers a wide array of prayers that are categorized according to topics. This classification allows readers to choose the perfect prayer that will suit the congregation’s current needs.

This book, along with many others, was displayed in LitFire’s booth during the Tucson Festival of Books last March 12 to 13, 2016, held at the University of Arizona.
