Unisys Leads the Field for Real-Time Scoring at The Ryder Cup

BLUE BELL, Pa., September 11, 2006 – Unisys, the worldwide technology services and solutions company, will support The 2006 Ryder Cup for the first time in Europe. Unisys real-time sports scoring technology will underpin the collection, collation, and distribution of all scoring information at the event, staged at The K Club in Straffan, Ireland, September 22-24, 2006.



Throughout the three day contest, Unisys will provide global audiences access to the latest scores, live from the course, by delivering results to broadcasters – including NBC and Sky – as well as pushing data to www.rydercup.com. A wireless network, hand-held computer devices, and more than 115 scoring terminals throughout the course will ensure golf fans can experience and keep up to date with the action from the flagship event.
