Logic PD Executive Shares Insight on the Issues Impacting Digital Health at MD&M East

The proliferation of personal technology has changed what individuals expect from their healthcare experience. In this session, Betten and fellow panelists from Deloitte and Mobile Integrity will address the issues related to incorporating cloud applications into medical devices, data management and security as well as medical device connectivity including Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and cellular networks.


 
  • Innovation Tour - Digital Health: Wearables, Mobile and Data Management (June 10 at 2 p.m.) The tour introduces attendees to the latest innovations in wearables, mobile and data management showcased at MD&M East. The tour guides attendees through the ecosystem required to create the right technical solution to create an integrated digital health platform.


 
  • Center StageFive Ways Big Data is Impacting Digital Health (June 11 at 11:45 a.m.) During this presentation, Betten will explore how the wealth of data being generated within the digital health environment can be used to improve operational performance, patient care as well as profitability. He will also address the top-of-mind questions related to data ownership, data management and data security.

William Betten has more than 30 years of experience in product definition, development, and production in the Medical Devices/Life Science industry. Bill serves on the editorial advisory board for the Medical Design and Diagnostic Industry magazine, as well as advisory boards for the Pediatric Medical Device Consortium, for St. Thomas University, and for Minnesota State University, Mankato.  He also has provided consulting services to high tech companies, is a writer and lecturer, and holds BSPhysics, BSEE, and MSEE degrees.
